PeriWorks · Employee education

Accurate, inclusive menopause education for every employee.

PeriWorks turns a topic most workplaces avoid into an hour people are glad they attended: what perimenopause and menopause are, how they can affect everyday working life, how to find credible care, and how colleagues and managers can help.

Learning outcomes

By the end, participants will be able to…

Every PeriWorks format is built from the same modular curriculum: four content modules, active learning, formative knowledge checks and a pre/post assessment aligned to these outcomes.

  1. 1

Describe the difference between perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause, including typical timing and the range of individual experience.

  2. 2

Identify six common symptom areas and explain how each can affect everyday functioning, including at work.

  3. 3

Distinguish evidence-based categories of care and credible sources of information from unsupported claims, and recognize when to seek professional care.

  4. 4

Locate at least three existing workplace resources that could support someone experiencing symptoms.

  5. 5

Select an appropriate conversation starter for use with a manager, a clinician or a colleague.

Questions employers ask

Frequently asked questions

Is this only for women?

No. PeriWorks is designed for mixed-gender, all-employee audiences. Colleagues, partners and managers get the same accurate picture, and the program is explicit that workplace support is a team responsibility.

Is this medical advice?

No. PeriWorks is health education. It explains what perimenopause and menopause are, what categories of care exist and how to find credible information — and it directs people to qualified healthcare professionals for individual care. Clinical content is reviewed by a qualified clinical reviewer.

Do you collect any employee health information?

No. Reflection activities are private and never collected. Pre/post knowledge checks and evaluations are anonymous and reported to you only in aggregate.

Can it be delivered virtually?

Yes. The 60- and 90-minute formats run on Zoom, Teams or Google Meet with polls and breakout discussion. The half-day format is on-site.

What do participants take away?

A two-sided take-home sheet with key facts, when to seek care, credible sources and workplace next steps; the half-day format includes a 12-page workbook and a certificate of completion documenting the educational hours.

What does the organization receive?

A short aggregate summary of the anonymous knowledge check and evaluation, plus a one-page note on the workplace resources participants identified and the questions they raised — useful input for HR.
