Menopause Education & Workplace Consulting

Because menopause is a workforce issue.

Midlife Works gives employers what they are missing: evidence-based education for employees, practical training for managers, and the HR playbook to support people through perimenopause and menopause — without guesswork, stigma, or clinical overreach.

  • Founder-led by an Ed.D., MPH
  • On-site in North Carolina · Virtual nationwide
  • Education, not medical advice

Evidence-informed

Built on The Menopause Society, NIH and peer-reviewed workplace research — cited, dated and reviewed.

Workforce-first

Designed by a workforce development executive, not adapted from a wellness talk.

Inclusive by design

For every employee and every manager — because support is a team responsibility.

The workforce issue

Half your workforce will go through it. Most workplaces have never talked about it.

Perimenopause and menopause usually arrive during the most experienced, highest-responsibility years of a career. Symptoms vary widely — many people have few, some have many — but when they do affect work, silence makes it worse. Education and manager skill are the most practical place for an employer to start.

How we work

From awareness to practice.

A workshop is a start. Our four-step framework is how an organization turns one good session into a workplace that handles midlife health well — and knows it.

  1. 01

    Assess

Understand organizational readiness, existing resources, and what your workforce actually needs to know.

  2. 02

    Educate

Deliver audience-specific learning for employees, managers and HR — evidence-based, inclusive, and built for adults at work.

  3. 03

    Implement

Support resource navigation, manager practice, and action planning so the learning becomes workplace practice.

  4. 04

    Evaluate

Measure knowledge, confidence, and perceived support — honestly, without overclaiming business impact.

Founder

Jenna Sorrells, Ed.D., MPH

Educator. Public health professional. Workforce strategist.

Dr. Sorrells founded Midlife Works after a career spent building training pathways and employer partnerships at a national scale. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership and a Master of Public Health in health education, served as university faculty in health education, and has led workforce development initiatives with employers across the country. She is also the co-founder of a separate women's wellness company — experience that keeps her close to the research, and clear about the line between education and medical care.

Midlife Works exists because the most reliable way to improve how a workplace handles menopause is to teach people well — employees, managers and HR alike.
